If the legion of Angels was bombarded by them, it would be quite catastrophic.

However, the leading Angel smiled from underneath his hood.

"Arrogant still as the first time we met, Admiral," He mused—raising his gaze to stare directly at Nerissa. His yellowish ash-colored eyes were glowing with a hint of excitement. "But don\'t think that nothing could stop you because this time, it\'s my turn to let you taste defeat!"

Upon hearing this, Nerissa squinted, realizing who the leading Angel was.

He was Calignar, an Angel she fought against recently.

Realizing who it was, she scoffed and signaled the airships to ready their weapons.

In a union, the pilots poised their thumbs on the fire button.

"So it\'s you," Nerissa muttered—smiling mockingly. "We know that you Angels are attempting an expansion for your makeshift Heaven. But, with me here, that is not going to happen. Also, this time I\'ll make sure you can\'t escape"

Not wasting more words, she signaled to fire ruthlessly.

Just before any of the airships could begin their bombardment, something happened.

Splash!

Suddenly, the water surface beneath them exploded, creating a towering water column.

Nerissa frowned, and she realized a figure that caused all of this.

Catching the figure cutting through the air like a glimpse of light, Nerissa\'ss eyes widened.

But in reflex, she maneuvered to the side, dodging the figure barely.

Swish...!

After narrowly dodging the figure, the wind generated by its high-speed passage grazed her entire body like a tempest—deepening the frown on her face as the figure was as fast as her if not faster.

KABOOM!!

Following that, the deafening roar of rapid explosions echoed from above.

She could feel the concussive blasts reverberating through the air.

Upon looking over her shoulder, Nerissa found that the airships above her were obliterated in the blink of an eye—and not one of them remained. It happened in a fraction of a second and she couldn\'t react properly.

"All of them are reinforced heavily..." Nerissa muttered in shock.

Bound in a state of disbelief, knowing full well how strong the airships were, she continued in a hushed tone, "Even ninth-rank realm attacks wouldn\'t be able to destroy them that easily— whoever flew past me should be very strong"

Not stopping at that, the figure soared higher—aiming at the massive mothership above.

A devastating amount of energy coalesces around its body.

Like a meteor of dark holy energy, spiraling viciously—the figure collided with the protective barrier of the mothership. A deafening explosion ensued, and the resulting shockwave went rampant, blasting everything in the surroundings.

Even Nerissa herself needs to protect herself from the shockwave.

A kaleidoscope of colors struck her vision—as the figure\'s dark hole energy, clashed against the massive mothership\'s protective barrier. Despite the barrier\'s resistance—the figure was not backing down, continuing to press on relentlessly.

Garnering even more power with a cold look, it propelled itself forward like an arrow.

Such a display was shocking for even the legion of Angels itself.

As the situation receded, and Nerissa, glanced back at the mothership—she gritted her teeth in fury when she found that the protective barrier—cracked from one attack. Equipped with a very strong barrier, as strong as a tenth-rank realm, the fact that it cracked was surprising.

It spoke significance that was impossible to ignore.

Recognizing the Angel that caused this, Nerissa\'s eyes bulged and her aura turned intense.

Compared to Calignar, this Angel was more monstrous in appearance and aura.

Instead of having two, or four wings like the others, this Angel has eight wings that span very wide to the side. He was akin to a Demigod, a celestial being with holy insignias that took the form of a circle on his back adorned with celestial glowing glyphs.

Moreover, the halo above his head had formed a full crown of flaming black magic.

Just the energy emanated by it alone gave goosebumps to Nerissa.

"Do you understand now? Unlike before, this time, you\'re going to lose," Calignar, laughed in utter excitement—savoring Nerissa\'s pale complexion as she gradually settled into her mind about the dire situation, she was in. "I may not be able to beat you alone. But with him, even you could not stop us, admiral!"

Ignoring Calignar\'s ridicule, Nerissa fixed her eyes on the other Angel flying above her.

She squinted her eyes and realized who the Angel was.

From the fact that this Angel, was wearing a black blindfold covering his eyes—and the eight wings behind him, Nerissa recognized his identity as Noctariel, the Blind Fallen Angel. One of the strongest from the Angel\'s heaven, he was also close with Void, the Supreme Angel.

Only then that Nerissa understand why Calignar was confident in beating her.

"If it\'s Noctariel, I don\'t think I could fight him alone" She mused inwardly, she was in trouble.

Knowing the power Noctariel possesses—being famous for being invincible in a one-on-one, Nerissa gritted her teeth—as she realized that there was no way she could win this. Not only Noctariel but she also need to fight Calignar.

If she couldn\'t win against Noctariel alone, then with Calignar, it would\'ve been impossible.

Despite her pride in her own power, she knew her limitations.

Considering her position of importance amongst Humanity—she also needs to be careful as to not be killed or else Humanity would lose another powerhouse. Even then, Nerissa looked to the far horizon in hesitation.

Her guts told her to leave, but her spirit told her to stay and fight this battle.

Moments earlier—the radar placed on this part of the ocean to monitor—whether the Angels were going to expand their Heaven again detected this legion\'s movement. Since the level of energy was not a lot, Nerissa was sent to deal with this alone.

But she was faced with an unsuspected obstacle.

\'Someone as strong as Noctariel should be detected, even if he\'s inside the ocean\'s depth. It seems like he gained help from someone,\' Nerissa thought—the fact that she was ambushed should not be happening.

However, the team behind the radar wouldn\'t mistake an obvious threat such as Noctariel.

Nevertheless, she needed to stop this legion of Angel.

If she didn\'t stop them, the Angels would expand and spread their influence again.

Completely briefed about the situation—Nerissa knew that if she let these Angels pass, then they would arrive at the continent, belonging to Ratmawati City. Knowing that the Humans in Ratmawati City were currently weakened, she couldn\'t let this legion pass.

But now, stopping them seemed to be an impossibility.

Out of sheer determination, Nerissa channeled her arcane mana—her eyes glowing blue.

Responding to her call, the sea around her exploded.

Summoning every ounce of her power, Nerissa drew the sea\'s water, within a one-mile radius toward her. It made her appear, as if she became the Goddess of the sea—able to command, the water of the sea itself.

Glaring at Noctariel, she prepared to make do with what she could.

\'Even if I can\'t stop them, I should take out as many as I can!\' She roared inwardly.

Swirling around her form, were two kinds of arcane mana—with a tinge of another mana, that didn\'t lose out to the power of those two. Displaying such a feat, was only possible for her as she possess three elements at her disposal.

Her body then began to metamorphose into pure crystal blue water.

Nerissa wasted no time to activate her Gladiator Form.

At the sight of this display of power, Noctariel smirked, looking down from above menacingly.

Despite Nerissa\'s performance, he was not troubled.

Instead of being troubled, Noctariel was more akin to fascinated by this parade of power.

His eyes are blind, but that doesn\'t mean he couldn\'t appreciate the beautiful phenomenon.

"Sapphire water awakens once more..." Nerissa mused—her voice filled with an unbelievable amount of power. "you will experience this—true horror. Annihilation—and humiliation by the maritime plague, I shall bestow on you. I am Nerissa, the Fleet Admiral of Humanity!"

"Even the sky would bow collapse before me!" She roared, dashing straight at Noctariel.

Meanwhile, back to Ratmawati City.

President Sebrof accepted the call, he put on an earpiece before connecting the call to it.

However—as soon as he did that, he was greeted by Gilbert\'s wavering voice.

A tint of worry could be heard clearly in his tone.

"Sebrof, can you hear me?"

"Yes, is there something wrong, Gilbert? Your voice..."

"I\'m sorry for calling out of the blue—but I received important news, that you most certainly must know. Minutes ago, I was called by the Supreme Court. Before I tell you—don\'t put me speaker"

"No, you\'re not on speaker. But the Supreme Court? What does it have to do with me?"

"I know they rarely say anything—but the Supreme High Duke notified me that the military of Khupia City detected a transonic breach in their radar coverage—from the west coast. Since your station is still offline, he couldn\'t reach you, so he reached out to me"

"Khupia City? Isn\'t that tens of thousands of miles east of my city?"

"Yes, the breach was done by a legion of Angels—they are heading in your direction!"

President Sebrof was burdened by the sudden grave news.

He knew Nerissa, he knew of her achievements, so he knew the gravity of this situation.

"Fortunately—she managed to escape, and was brought back to be healed. She stated that she tried to kill as many Angels as she could to help you. Calignar is the leader of the legion going to your place, and with the help of the Siren, the Blind Fallen Angel managed to made a successful ambush that caught Nerissa by surprise"

Upon hearing this, President Sebrof could only rub his throbbing forehead.

Considering the city\'s situation, they couldn\'t take on Noctariel.

\'Before was Fifthborn, and now the Sirens and the Angels...\'

If Noctariel and Calignar came here then there\'s nothing to stop them.

"Don\'t worry, the report said that Noctariel turned around after taking out Nerissa. It seemed he was there to make sure the legion of Angels, reached your continent. Be prepared—I\'ll try to talk with Sebas to send reinforcements for you"

"Why are they coming here anyway? Aren\'t they busy fighting two major cities at once?"

"We don\'t know. Nevertheless, I will send Calignar\'s profile to you after this call. He is in the peak of the ninth-rank realm, with the heavenly order of Duty—capable of going toe-to-toe with three peak ninth-rank realm Dark Elementalists"

"I appreciate the notice, Gilbert. I\'ll be going now, I need to prepare"

Just like that, the call was disconnected with President Sebrof frozen in his seat.

Sarah and the man looked at him questioningly.

Both of them couldn\'t hear what Gilbert was talking about, but they could tell that it was not good news judging from the grim expression President Sebrof was wearing right now. It was an expression that made them both nervous to even ask about the matter.

In the next second, President Sebrof abruptly stood up.

He grabbed his jacket and headed to the door without saying anything.

"President, where are you going?" Sarah eventually found the courage to ask.
