Chapter 231 - 232: Love Impotence Syndrome (4)
She was wondering if Qin Zhiyou was coming at all, if not, she might fall asleep.
But she was too embarrassed to voice these thoughts directly.
Feeling uncomfortable with the uncertainty, she yawned, subconsciously adjusting herself a bit.
At this movement, the man behind her stirred. She could vaguely hear a touch of annoyance in his voice, “Don’t move.”
Lu Weixi was slightly surprised. She remembered that Qin Zhiyou was acting a bit off today. When they met Qin Zhigu earlier in the evening, he didn’t provoke anyone even though he usually advanced when others retreated and caused trouble when others retreated. Instead of causing any trouble this night, he had dressed her up beautifully and went out for a walk.
As she contemplated this, she couldn’t help but turn around to face him, switching from a back-to-back sleep position to face-to-face.
Indeed, Qin Zhiyou did not look happy on his face. His eyebrows furrowed, lips pursed, clearly disturbed by her movement, he woke up.
Lu Weixi noticed it and felt a little embarrassed, but even more puzzled.
Qin Zhiyou was not someone who neglected himself. Whatever he wanted, he never waited until the next day for it. In their many years of marriage, he only refrained from initiating intimacy when she was menstruating or there was an urgent matter at hand. Otherwise, if he had the desire, he would never restrain himself.
Lu Weixi began to wonder, perhaps he had some task in the morning that required him to get up early, so he decided against intimacy for the night.
“You think?” Qin Zhiyou frowned, hesitating for quite a while before uttering a few words.
He was following the advice of a psychologist he had consulted, not to force her. If she did not want, even if he did, he must not act.
Lu Weixi hadn’t expected that this was the reason for Qin Zhiyou’s restraint.
Originally, she was so tired that she could barely stay awake. Now, she was more awake than ever. Eventually, her exhaustion took over and she fell asleep.
Lu Weixi did not wake up until nearly noon the next day. It was almost eleven o’clock when she woke up and finished freshening up. Just in time for lunch since her stomach was growling with hunger.
Just as she was about to step out of the room in her fresh clothes, the door of the suite was pushed open and an exhausted-looking Qin Zhiyou walked in. But the moment he saw her, his eyebrows relaxed slightly, the fatigue on his face lessened. To his secretary, Wang, he instructed, “Keep the press at a distance. Keep the order of disembarkation smooth, and try to keep it chaos-free.”
Wang, the secretary, nodded his acknowledgement and retreated, closing the door behind him.
The words “media,” “press,” triggered something in Lu Weixi’s mind. In a serious tone, she said, “Zhiyou, there’s something important I need to discuss with you..”
