Chapter 250 - 257: This Works? (Fourth Update)
Yang Zhen was incredibly ferocious and quickly killed many brutal beasts. The Scoundrel Cat quickly noticed something strange and widened its eyes, asking, “What the fuck? These aren’t real beasts; what are those golden balls?”
The dog seemed to have taken a liking to the Scoundrel Cat, biting onto its tail and refusing to let go. Seeing Yang Zhen killing the beasts one by one with his punches, the Scoundrel Cat began to panic and thrashed its tail wildly, surprisingly managing to beat to death a beast at the Void Cultivation Stage. After the dog died, it also turned into a golden ball and floated in front of the Scoundrel Cat. The Scoundrel Cat didn’t say another word and quickly put it into a storage ring.
“Damn it, kid, leave some for me!” the Scoundrel Cat exclaimed.
Once he got something good, the Scoundrel Cat joyously pounced again, only to be smacked down by a feline beast. After it got up looking dazed, it quickly hid behind Yang Zhen: “These beasts are pretty fierce. You should do the killing. I’ll protect you. After you’re done, just share some golden balls with me.”
Yang Zhen swiped a hand toward the Scoundrel Cat, saying irritably, “Sao Saint needs your protection?”
“Kid, don’t tell me you’re that quick to forget favors?” the Scoundrel Cat retorted, glaring at Yang Zhen.
Yang Zhen glanced at the Scoundrel Cat and said, “Guess?”
“Fuck!”
The man and the cat quickly killed all two hundred or so beasts, then the Scoundrel Cat asked, “Kid, didn’t I lure these beasts to you?”
Yang Zhen asked while walking away, “How many did you kill?”
“One!” The Scoundrel Cat said, looking smug.
Yang Zhen stopped abruptly and looked at the Scoundrel Cat curiously. Only when the Scoundrel Cat’s face turned red did he asked, “How did you get in here?”
The victorious expression on the Scoundrel Cat’s face quickly turned into a smirk and it looked at Yang Zhen dismissively, “How else could I have gotten here but by swallowing those twenty Heavenly Might Waterfalls!”
Yang Zhen let out a surprised sound, “Who would have thought, you actually withstood twenty Heavenly Might Waterfalls?”
The Scoundrel Cat turned up its nose and said, “You better believe it! Not only did I withstand twenty Heavenly Might Waterfalls, but like you, I swallowed the last one. You should have seen the look on their faces… especially that Young Master Fen. His face went completely dark, hahaha…”
Hearing the Scoundrel Cat’s words, Yang Zhen paused, murmuring to himself, “No wonder I didn’t see Lin Tianli. It turns out he didn’t come here.” “Why?” the Scoundrel Cat asked curiously.
Yang Zhen thought for a moment and said, “Do you remember the little girl saying that when they entered the highest heavenly ordainment, they came across a golden Spirit Road, but there seemed to be some kind of prohibition, and they couldn’t pass?”
“Which little girl?” the Scoundrel Cat asked, looking confused, “What’s a little girl?”
“It’sXiu’er!” said Yang Zhen, annoyed, “She’s younger than me, but her cultivation level is higher than mine. Can you guess why?”
The realized dawned on the Scoundrel Cat, and it looked at Yang Zhen with contempt and said, “What else could it be? Her talent and spiritual roots must be stronger than yours.”
“Bullshit! In thousands of years, there hasn’t been anyone with talent stronger than Sao Saint, believe it or not!” Yang Zhen yelled angrily at the Scoundrel Cat.
The Scoundrel Cat pretended to believe him and quickly nodded, “I believe it, I believe it. What’s the reason, then?”
Yang Zhen didn’t bother with the clueless cat, he pointed to the sky and said, “Feel the Heaven and Earth Qi here.”
The Scoundrel Cat hesitated for a moment, then its eyes popped wide open, exclaiming, “Fuck, is this a Sacred Land?”
Yang Zhen chuckled and said, “I don’t know if it’s a Sacred Land or not, but it seems like cultivating in this Spirit Road is much faster than outside. Even if a dumbass walked a circle around here, they could still become a god… what are you doing?”
The Scoundrel Cat didn’t seem to have heard Yang Zhen’s words, but while walking, it looked up, took a deep breath, and sucked in all of the Heaven and Earth True Essence in several meters around it, including the tiny golden runes hovering there.
Yang Zhen’s eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at the Scoundrel Cat, “Even that works?”
Slutty Cat huffed and puffed, giving a vague answer, “Why not? Don’t sit around doing nothing. There’s so much Heaven and Earth True Essence here. It would be a waste not to cultivate.”
As they moved along, the surrounding True Essence was all absorbed by this asshole, Slutty Cat. Yang Zhen actually felt like he was in a barren land. He kicked Slutty Cat angrily, saying, “Cultivating like this isn’t stable; what’s the use of the realm you gain from that?”
Yang Zhen kicked Slutty Cat, who took a misstep, got the wind knocked out of him, and started hiccupping. He stared at Yang Zhen and said, “What do you know? Can the cultivation method of saint beasts be the same as that of humans?”
Saint beast?
Yang Zhen laughed loudly, pointed at Slutty Cat, and said, “You’re a saint beast? More like a dumb beast.”
That being said, Yang Zhen was genuinely surprised. Slutty Cat sucked up all the True Essence without any change in his body, like a skinny guy who’s never full, making it look like a waste.
As he looked at Slutty Cat strutting in front of him, looking arrogant, Yang Zhen started to doubt. Could this asshole really be a kylin?
But he had never seen such a stupid kylin before. This guy definitely was not a kylin. Even if he had kylin blood, he must be some deformed version of it.
At the highest point of destiny, a group of people stared at each other in disbelief.
If they could barely accept that Yang Zhen, this jerk, had lasted under twenty brushes of the Heavenly Might Waterfall – an unusual one at that – the sight of Slutty Cat entering the highest destiny had simply shattered their understanding of this world.
It was too weird.
Slutty Cat was almost identical to Yang Zhen. Although he was in obvious pain, he ate up the twenty brushings of mysterious Heavenly Might Waterfall.
Little Fatty Huang Mao came to Young Master Fen, pointing at the highest destiny and muttered, “That… that cat, did it just eat up all the Heavenly Might Waterfall?”
Young Master Fen unwillingly acknowledged it even though he didn’t want to believe it, with so many witnesses, he had no choice. He reluctantly nodded and said, “Perhaps there was a slight problem with the highest destiny.”
Huang Mao nodded and said, “I think so too. Well, I will give it a try next.”
As Huang Mao was about to enter the highest destiny, Young Master Fen stopped him.
“Huh?” A puzzled Huang Mao looked at Young Master Fen and asked, “What are you doing?”
Young Master Fen took a deep breath and said, “I’m going!”
Huang Mao hesitated for a moment, then said with a smirk, “Are you sure you want to go?”
Young Master Fen had a strange look on his face, but he still nodded, saying, “I said I’ll try!”
Hearing this, everyone gave him a strange look. Xiu’er in the crowd giggled, saying, “Young Master Fen, don’t forget to lick it, okay?”
Young Master Fen’s expression changed instantly. He glanced back at Xiu’er without uttering a word and walked towards the highest destiny.
As everyone watched Young Master Fen be sucked into the highest destiny, they all took a sharp, collective intake of breath, their eyes on him.
Boom!
A muffled sound echoed in the sky. Amid the terrifying Heavenly Might, waves of Heavenly power began to condense, exactly like those that came before. Standing next to the highest destiny, Little Fatty seemed to be muttering to himself, “Perhaps only by licking the Heavenly power can the mysterious Heavenly Might Waterfall appear?”
Young Master Fen hesitated, clearly uncomfortable, but still stood tall. He slowly reached out his tongue and licked at the terrifying Heavenly power.
