Chapter 113 - 113’. Blood Seed Sea Tower

The young master’s facial expressions, the manner in which he walked, the degree to which he stumbled, were all nearly beyond reproach. Perhaps on the azure planet, he might even have garnered himself an Oscar.

But it was precisely because he was so flawless that Yang Zhen saw through him.

At this time, everyone was battling aboard the flying ship, yet this fellow showed no intention of killing all the intruding practitioners. Like a villain in a television series, his first instinct was to check on his treasures. Those who would behave in such a manner were either brainless or had a death wish.

Compared with the seasoned Yang Zhen, this young master was undoubtedly outmatched, so before Yang Zhen entered, he had activated the True Essence

Cannon using a talent inscription.

The young master, with his baffled expression, had his head obliterated before he could comprehend who was outside wielding a True Essence Cannon at him.

Yang Zhen was amazed at his precision, not a speck of energy wasted, perfectly obliterating the handsome face of the young man.

After confirming the death of the young master, the bold and meticulous Yang Zhen turned his attention towards the blood pool.

Within the pool, a bloody seed-like thing was bobbing up and down in the churning blood-filled water.

“A seed again?” Yang Zhen looked somewhat perplexed.

Previously, he had obtained a seed which sprouted into a sapling in his mind. He hadn’t even figured out what it was when now, he encountered another seed. Moreover, this was a peculiar Blood Seed which he naturally did not dare keep on his person. He put it into a spare storage ring.

Given the circumstances, lingering was not an option. After taking the young master’s ring, Yang Zhen stealthily left, laughing and shouting with excitement about having found an eight-star weapon.

An eight-star weapon was nearly twice as good as the Thunderbolt Sword. Not even Yang Zhen himself possessed one, naturally, it ignited a frenzy among the people. Suddenly, the fight was in full swing. Everyone was red-eyed, stealing whatever they could, and upon encountering anyone, they sent out blasts of various mystical martial techniques of ice, fire, thunder, and lightning.

By the time Sister Head and her gang stormed the Black Dove, Yang Zhen was already miles away, beyond the reach of the cacophony of battle.

Having plundered the place and making a run for it was certainly thrilling. They were not far from the Coast of the East Sea. Yang Zhen didn’t plan on returning to Sister Head’s Blade Ship. Instead, he flew on his sword, using the Heavenly Tathagata Cloud Dispersing Palm and the Sky Crossing Void

Technique to hasten his journey.

After two days, Yang Zhen saw a vast city looming in the mist. The sea breeze rushed over him, carrying a refreshing scent.

As expected, the Coast of the East Sea was indeed a seaside locale. Yang Zhen eagerly anticipated seeing ladies in swimwear. However, on entering the boundary of the East Sea, he was left dumbfounded.

The seaside city was immensely large, far bigger and more prosperous than any city Yang Zhen had seen. It was lined with numerous buildings and countless shops. The people here appeared refined, dressed in long robes. There were many young talents holding folding fans, appearing as modest gentlemen. There was no sign of the typical seaside flamboyance, instead, there was a touch of the graceful elegance of the Jiangnan region.

Yang Zhen did not care whether the men were modest gentlemen or mean scoundrels. His interest lay in the ladies. Yet, the women here too, were reserved, moving gracefully. Even their clothes were buttoned up to the neck, leaving no sight of their collarbones or midriff lines.

“Where… are all the promised lovely ladies? Where is the promised sweetness?” Yang Zhen felt as if he had suffered a ten-thousand-ton blow, feeling somewhat disheartened.

“Sir, you must have come from the mainland, haven’t you?” A woman in coarse linen asked, standing behind Yang Zhen.

Yang Zhen turned around to look at her, and was momentarily taken aback.

This woman appeared ordinary with no fluctuations of True Essence emanating from her, indicating that she was a non-practitioner.

Clad in a simple linen gown, carrying a neat little basket, she appeared to be in her teens. Her simplicity had an added innocence to it, making her seem like a green fruit. Her lack of ostentation, contrary to the commonly seen blossoming beauty, gave her a unique charm.

It was not just these characteristics that surprised Yang Zhen, there was a trace of intelligence in this ordinary woman who didn’t possess a shred of True

Essence!

A common person with such talent?

Yang Zhen looked curiously at the young girl, finding it hard to believe. “Young Master?” The girl’s own pair of clear, bright eyes, full of spirit, looked curiously at Yang Zhen as she asked again.

Yang Zhen quickly regained his composure, greeted her with a slight bow, and said, “Miss, I am Yang Zhen, a newcomer to the Coast of the East Sea, currently looking for a place to stay.”

The young maiden, watching Yang Zhen’s strange salute, let out a slight giggle, “Young Master, you are quite interesting! Arriving here at this time will only result in you not finding any accommodations, Oh and by the way, my name is

Tian Rou.”

“Why?” Yang Zhen wore a confused expression.

Could it be… every inn and tavern was fully booked?

Tian Rou noticed Yang Zhen’s dazed expression and furrowed her brows, explaining, “Right now, everyone is by the Sea Tower. Even the inn’s owners, So, Young Master, if you try to find a place to stay now, you simply won’t be

able to.”

Yang Zhen, coming to understanding, was still surprised. He muttered to himself, “Have these inn owners gone mad, leaving business unattended to and all rushing to the Sea Tower. Tian Rou, what kind of place is this Sea Tower?” Tian Rou covered her mouth and giggle, said, “Sea Tower is where the Master shared his wisdom. Every once in a while, a grand gathering is held on the Coast of the East Sea to pay respects to the Master and to showcase talents in an attempt to meet the Master’s standards and become his direct disciple.”

Ah, now this was getting interesting.

Just as Yang Zhen was about to ask more clearly, a rough, beast-hke voice came from near Tian Rou, “Little Rou, hurry home and cook dinner!”

Tian Rou let out a sigh, smiled gently at Yang Zhen, turned and left, with the vegetables in her basket swinging so close to Yang Zhen’s face.

A puzzled Yang Zhen raised his heads to see a burly, brusque man resembling a beast staring back at him. The man pointed to his eyes and jabbed his finger towards Yang Zhen, his warning was clear.

Yang Zhen grinned, not really minding, meandered his way to the vicinity of the Sea Tower, only to be taken aback.

There was a sea of people everywhere. Poetic verses echoed continuously. Applauses of admiration and harsh criticisms filled the air, most of them being refined and cultured in nature.

Yang Zhen found this interesting. He went over to a desk, tried to squeeze in for quite a while, but to no avail. Suddenly, Yang Zhen exclaimed, “Eh, whose storage ring fell down?”

Immediately, the crowed scattered, all of them searching on the ground.

Yang Zhen capitalized on this opportunity to squeeze in. Amidst the grumbles and curses, he made it to the front row and his eyes gleamed with surprise.

At the desk, a young girl, who seemed to be around six or seven years old, was intently drawing with a wolf-fur brush, and a proud and unyielding bamboo stalk was gradually taking shape on the canvas.

Yang Zhen was shocked. This young girl was extraordinary! Her painting skills were simply astounding, proving talent wasn’t a matter of age.

This painting was truly remarkable. How remarkable it was Yang Zhen wasn’t sure, as his understanding of paintings was rather limited.

Just then, a clamor echoed through the air. A wave of talent suddenly burst forth in the sky, startling the crowd.

“It’s Young Master Bian.. Young Master Bian is manifesting his talent again through his masterpiece!”
